Many seeds that had been in the ground for a long time were flowering this year. Some had been growing quietly but steadily in a slow pace, and others were hibernating; waiting for the right conditions to cross the barrier from the inner to the outer, the invisible to the visible
(or -audible in this case 🙂
So this is the harvest of 2019 so far.
I would like to eventually find a way of presenting my whole discography (100+ releases) in a comprehensive way.
But I suppose the future is most interesting anyway… ♡
In Dreams by Ludvig Cimbrelius
I recorded these songs to capture a feeling that I had been living with for a while. I felt like I there was a separate life that part of me was living – somewhere else where I was really supposed to be… and my ‘real’ physical life felt more and more like a dream that I no longer had any strong connection to.
I still feel somewhere in between those realities.
A bridge is being built.

I find intimacy to be a natural occurrence. Like water evaporating when the sun warms its surface, the experience of intimacy can be described as the secondary glow of a radiance too bright to experience directly – that of the unity which underlies all existence.
In essence, we are already beyond intimate with all things, dissolving in the perpetual light of one Sun.
In dreams, we may feel the glow of its rays.

“Deeper and deeper this album pulls you towards earth. You come to a full stop, realizing that your feet and hands slowly merge with the earth. The deep drones gently turn your bones into stones while the hidden melodies grow grass and flowers out of your body. The velvet textures let your mind dissolve to become one with mother nature…you become earth, home and reason for life itself. This album transforms you, and thus it is surely one of the most intense ambient albums ever made.” – Bandcamp supporter

An attempt to translate my feelings for the clear autumn skies into sound resulted in some piano improvisations and ambience that I sent to my good friend Anton Novikov, to see if he was inspired to record some guitar. Anton and I never met in person but we have had a great friendship and a wonderful artistic collaboration on artworks for several of my releases –Anton is not only a creator of magnificent ethereal guitar-based soundscapes; he is also a photographer and shoots film, capturing the stunning beauty of his native landscape around Murmansk, Russia.
Recorded and arranged during a few weeks in the autumn of 2018, Autumn Sky was then mastered by Andrew James Klimek and released by his Stereoscenic Records early in 2019.

The heart comes to rest
the wind settles down
the longing begins to stir
the wind begins to move
enfolding each branch and limb
stroking each leaf and hair
setting in motion her swing
remnant from a distant glimmer
of a childhood that continues on
